I have been in the catering and hospitality industry for over 40 years and as a family owned and operated local Perth catering company for over 20 years with weddings, corporate and private events, we pride ourselves on quality, great food, and client satisfaction.
I love this industry and have a passion for ensuring our clients are satisfied every time. When choosing your caterer at your next event, consider if they are compliant with the following:
FOODSAFE AND GOLD LICENCE ACCREDITATION
Cherry’s operates from a custom-built commercial kitchen in Malaga, and in accordance with FoodSafe accreditation, regular inspections from the local council health department are conducted and pest control is routinely maintained, as required by an external independent company. Cherry’s meets all standards required to hold a Gold Licence Accreditation, which is awarded by the Restaurant and Catering Association of WA (Inc.).
OSH policy is reviewed annually, and also amended / updated, as required throughout the year in line with updated OSH legislation.
Cherry’s is also a member of the Restaurant and Catering Association, therefore we abide by the highest standards and you can be assured your event catering is to the highest quality of food safe.
PREPARATION OF FUNCTION (& TRANSPORTATION OF FOOD)
Depending on the size of the function, food preparation (i.e. roasting / braising and/or marinating of meats, vegetable prep etc.) would commence one day prior to function date, in Cherry’s commercial kitchen in Malaga. Cherry’s team of chefs and kitchen hands would be involved in the preparation of meals for each function with all preparation overseen by Cherry’s Head Chef. All staff are inducted by Cherry’s management prior to working in Cherry’s kitchen.
The prepared food along with any equipment required would to be transported in one of our Cherry’s branded food vans.
LIQUOR LICENSING, RSA & APPROVED MANAGERS
As required under the Liquor Control Act, Cherry’s holds a special facility license. Staff are committed to the principles of Responsible Service of Alcohol and undertake all reasonable steps to minimise harm caused by the abuse of alcohol. Cherry’s’ expects the same commitment from our patrons.
All bar staff hold RSA certificates & follow RSA guidelines at all times. An Approved Manager will be onsite at all functions where Cherry’s is supplying & serving alcohol.
80% of all food brought into the business is purchased through approved local suppliers, many of whom have been suppliers since inception of the business. Meetings are conducted with suppliers prior to them becoming an approved supplier, to ensure credibility of service and product meets the required minimum standards. If non-compliant for any reason, goods are returned and documented in accordance with FoodSafe guidelines.
As part of the normal catering requirements, Cherry’s maintains all current Workers Compensation, Public Liability and Motor Vehicle insurances.
