Firstly, we would like to say a very big thankyou to our amazing clients and friends for your wonderful generosity. Despite overwhelming, personal hardships that we all face, many of you have helped us support Perth’s Frontline Service Professionals, who are putting themselves through their toughest, and most frightening times of their professional lives.
Anyone who knows or is related to a Frontline nurse, doctor, hospital or ambulance staff, firefighter, police officer or healthcare worker will have heard firsthand of the incredible stress, workloads and stories of sacrifice they endure, in many cases having to socially isolate from their own loved ones because of their heightened frontline risk.
Of course, everybody wants to do their bit to help if they can.
At Cherry’s we wanted to help the best way we know how, by providing…
Free Healthy Homestyle individual meals to eat during their long shifts.
If you would like to help, please go to our website where you can purchase a meal for a frontline worker.
Both individual bulk purchase meals for our customers & meals for Frontline Healthcare Workers are $12 each and are at direct food and labour costs only, we are not making a profit from these meals.
In a little over a week we have provided close to 1000 meals, 375 have been funded by our clients and friends’, the remaining 625 were supplied complimentary by Cherry’s. These are distributed to Nurses, Hospital and Ambulance Staff at Sir Charles Gairdner and Joondalup Health Campus.
It’s now been 3 weeks and Cherry’s has provided a little over 2000 meals, 561 have been funded by our clients and friends, the remaining 1439 were supplied complimentary by Cherry’s.
A big thank you to Joondalup Health Campus and the Wanneroo Business Association who have both helped by funding 50 meals each.
Thank you to everyone who has bought meals for frontline, whether a single or multiple meals, the frontline staff are extremely grateful. These are distributed to Doctors, Nurses, Hospital and Ambulance Staff at Sir Charles Gairdner, St John of God Subiaco and Joondalup Health Campus. (update 20/4/20)
Cherry’s Catering is a family owned business and we have been running our business in Perth for over 20 years. As owners we are grateful to have such fantastic, hardworking staff, and our Google reviews and Facebook recommendations say it all.
The ongoing events led us to change the style of catering that we would have normally done which usually included weddings, private and corporate events.
We have a modern production kitchen which is fully equipped and can produce in excess of 1000 delicious individual meals a day if required.
What’s in it for Cherry’s?
The pleasure of being able to support our Frontline Workers, while keeping the doors open at Cherry’s and keeping our staff employed. It also gives us as owners a commitment to see us through to the better times ahead.
Bounce Back
Who can say when? Or what the world will look like after this coronavirus passes. We’re all pretty shell-shocked from the coronavirus fallout and it’s hard to imagine what sort of recovery we’ll have to face, making it easy to focus only on the negative.
Regardless, we will face down this crisis with a positive attitude and emerge on the other side to resume our awesome catering business.
Weddings, Milestone Birthdays, Corporate Events
Many events have been postponed until better times, but we will be here ready to cater all those events and parties when you need them. Once again you will be able to enjoy Cherry’s Catering delicious food and exceptional service.
Should you have a special occasion in mind for the future whether it be your wedding, engagement, milestone birthday, anniversary, corporate event and need catering please feel free to contact us today – we can put suggested menus together, help with local vendors such as marquees, furnishings, photographers, florists, cake creators, and more.
Please stay safe, look after each other and we truly do get by with a little help from our friends.
