At Cherry’s our door is always open…. We always welcome couples to come in and meet with us here at Cherrys or your venue to go over the specifics for your big day.
What style of wedding catering should I choose?
This depends firstly on whether you would like your guests to be seated for a plated meal or if you would prefer your guests to be upstanding/mingling.
If you would prefer a mingling style reception, then Cocktail Finger Food & perhaps a Grazing Table is the way to go!
Whichever type of menu you choose, rest assured we will impress your guests and satisfy tummies!
How long are staff onsite for?
Typically, our staff will be onsite for a 3 hours period, arriving 1hr prior to food service.
Although, every wedding is different and so we can tailor staff times and requirements around your specifications. For example, are you having pre-dinner canapés? Are we cutting your cake? Do you have a drinks package?
How many staff are required?
This will depend on, your menu selection & final guest numbers.
Typically, a Buffet or Cocktail Party for 60 guests = 1 chef & 2 wait-staff
Can pre-dinner canapés be added?
Yes, there are a few options for pre-dinner canapes
- Grazing Table
- Cocktail Finger Food
- Platter / Grazing Boards
Does the price include quality crockery & cutlery?
- Cocktail Party – napkins are included, plates are not required
- Gourmet Roast Buffet – included
- Banquet / Set Menu – additional fee POA
What dessert options can I choose from?
There are a few options for desserts
- Platter / Grazing Boards
- Buffet desserts (see our Gourmet Roast Buffet menu)
- Share plates & individual plated desserts (see our Banquet & Set Menu Dining menus)
Can I incorporate a drinks service with the food?
Yes, you can! At Cherry’s we have our own liquor licence enabling us to supply & serve you & your guests.
We can cater drinks packages to compliment your special occasion and catering needs. Cheers to that!
How do we get the tables set up in time?

Prior collection of cutlery & napkins for dressing?
You are welcome to collect cutlery & napkins from Cherry’s prior
Most menu types include a disposable 2ply Cherrys napkin (white with Cherry’s logo).
Upgrade to white linen at $1.50pp (other colours are available POA)
How to serve the cake?
Cherry’s can cut your cake; additional staff costs may apply.
What happens to any leftovers?
At the end of your function, any leftover food is left for your consumption, in line with Food Safety regulations
How are children charged?
Children aged 12+ are charged at adult pricing, children under 12 are charged at 70%
Is there a public holiday surcharge?
Yes, we charge 15% surcharge on PH as we need to pay our staff PH rates, this is on the total price of your catering
Will there be a wedding surcharge?
Great news – NO extra charge – just great value!
At Cherry’s Catering we do not charge extra because we are catering a wedding.
All our pricing is fully inclusive of GST
We offer taste testing, viewing of venue and on-going consultancy as required.
