Cherry’s Catering & Events is a leading Perth family owned and operated business, servicing a wide variety of Corporate, Community, and Private Clients.
Established in 2000 by co-founders Craig & Kate Fraser and Deb Cunniffe, Cherry’s operates out of a modern custom designed commercial kitchen based in Malaga. Accredited with a Gold Licence Accreditation by the Restaurant and Catering Association WA (Inc.), and together with our liquor licence, Cherry’s can cater for any event across the entire metropolitan area.
Cherry’s has the experience, facilities & staff capabilities to cater for multiple events of varying size, having catered an event for 1000+ patrons for 9 consecutive years.
We operate out of our commercial kitchen and Cherry’s kitchen is running under a strict COVID Safety Plan. All staff have completed the AHA Hospitality & Tourism Hygiene Training Course.
General Manager / Executive Chef – Craig Fraser
With over 40 years experience in restaurant and function catering, Craig draws knowledge and skill from various employ including 6 years in the Royal Australian Navy and 4 years in London restaurants. After returning from the UK, Craig was employed in a number of casual positions before starting his own business – Acacia Catering Services (1991 – 1994). After selling this business, Craig accepted a position with a former employer which saw him return to England.
Before founding Cherry’s, Craig was employed full-time as a casual chef at premier Perth establishments including Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club and Novotel Vines Resort.
As Executive Chef, Craig is responsible for all facets of food production including menu creation, stock control, FoodSafe programs, COVID Safety Plan and training, and management of casual kitchen staff (on and off site).
Sales & Admin Manager – Kate Fraser
Kate began her career in 1987 with Lloyds Bank where she gained general knowledge of the investment and merchant banking industry. She spent the next 10 years in the London financial industry, with Fuji Bank (Money Markets) and Deutsche Bank (Financial Services and Foreign Payments).
Kate emigrated to Australia in 1999 and worked in the accounts for various mining companies including Hamersley Iron and Normandy Mining before co-founding Cherry’s in 2000. Kate is responsible for all administration practices at Cherry’s.

The Team
Since inception, Cherry’s has grown from a small team to now employing over 20 staff, serving some of Perth’s biggest corporate’s and private events.
Functions Coordinator – Deb Cunniffe
Deb began her career in the London financial industry in 1987 with Barclays Bank. With the company for 12 years, Deb advanced quickly to become Head Cashier and Team Leader within a busy London branch. Deb is able to draw on this leadership experience when leading teams at front-of-house staff for Cherry’s.
In 2001 Deb took up full-time study and gained a Diploma in Business Programming before emigrating to Australia in 2003, becoming a Director of Cherry’s. Since this time, Deb has been responsible for staffing, external equipment supplier and venue liaison, and finalising function details with clients.
Deb works closely with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth function planning, and post-function communication with the client to makes sure their expectations were met/exceeded.
We have a wide range of menus including finger food drop-off platters and cocktail parties, roast/buffet and BBQs all served buffet style, beverage station and banquet dining to name a few, which can be complemented by our drinks packages under our own liquor licence. Whilst we have a standard range of menus, a great deal of our business is derived by tailoring what we do, to suit the exact needs of our clients.
