Venue Scoping and Preparation
With over 46 years of industry experience, our Head Chef, Craig, begins the catering process by thoroughly scoping the venue and kitchen. If a site visit isn’t feasible, clients can send pictures of the venue to ensure we have all the necessary details to tailor our services to your event’s unique requirements.
Every event is meticulously organised using a detailed checklist, covering everything from kitchen equipment to crockery and napkins, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
Flexibility and Quick Turnaround
Our function coordinators and chefs are adept at planning and preparing functions at short notice, though this may change the availability of certain dishes. Our short-notice menus rely on accessible ingredients and the resources available at the venue.
Annual Menu Review
Our chefs review the menus annually to keep them fresh and exciting. We consider seasonal ingredients and current food trends to offer you the best culinary options. Have an idea of the foods you want on offer? We’ll work with you to determine the best menu for your event!
Tasting Sessions
Depending on your event type, we can offer tasting sessions for cocktail, banquet, and wedding events. These sessions provide a great opportunity to experience our food firsthand and make any necessary adjustments to the menu.

Catering is a 24/7 operation, demanding flexibility and precision. Unlike restaurant kitchens, designed for smaller, fast-paced meal preparation, Cherry’s Kitchen is specifically designed for catering, with ample space to accommodate larger functions or events and extensive prep work.
Our chefs are equipped to operate in any condition – whether it’s a park, a corporate venue, a ‘blank canvas’ wedding venue, a residential kitchen, or a commercial kitchen. As Craig puts it, “Our venue is the client’s venue”, highlighting our adaptability and readiness to meet any challenge.

Sustainability and Community
We believe in giving back to the community and maintaining sustainable practices. 80% of all food brought into the business is purchased through approved local suppliers, many of whom have been suppliers since inception of the business. Meetings are conducted with suppliers prior to them becoming an approved supplier, to ensure credibility of service and product meets the required minimum standards. If non-compliant for any reason, goods are returned and documented in accordance with FoodSafe guidelines.
Cherry’s has established relationships with quality produce providers of Perth including PFD, Bidfood, McLoughlins Butchers, Rudi Rooster, Morley Growers Market, Cake Box and Ward Packaging. Produce is constantly monitored for quality and is obtained freshly as required.
