COVID-19 Response

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Cherry’s Catering created and delivered complimentary meals to Frontline Healthcare Staff at hospitals around Perth. We wanted to give something back in a way that would make us feel useful in a time when many of our catering events had been postponed.

On top of the complimentary meals that Cherry’s supplied, we would like to thank our amazing clients, family, friends, local businesses, and local community for your contributions in helping us support Perth’s Frontline Service Professionals. Getting by with a little help from your friends. The frontline staff have been putting themselves at risk through these extraordinary circumstances. They have been working in tough conditions whilst still having to deal with the risks from the virus like everyone else, sometimes not being able to return to their family after their shifts over concerns of spreading the virus.

Daily meals were delivered to Sir Charles Gairdner, Joondalup Health Campus and St John of God Subiaco Hospitals. Cherry’s supplied 2179 complimentary meals over 3 ½ weeks, 611 of which were purchased by our clients, local businesses, local community, family, and friends.

From the very start of having our initial idea to the delivery of the first week’s meals we have had enormous support and so much positive feedback form the frontline, it has been heart-warming – some words of thanks below.

We are in the process of considering making future meal contributions in a charitable nature, to those in need.

Cherry’s Catering humbled to receive award.
