Think positive!

Think positive! written on piece of paper

An expression which has been somewhat challenged over Perth’s recent economic times.

It seems a common topic of discussion as to when the next upswing in Perth’s economic cycle is going to happen, and it will happen!  I’m no economist but I am an eternal optimist, having run a small family business for over 18 years with its upswings and downswings you have to be.

After more than 40 years in the hospitality and catering game I’ve experienced plenty of economic cycles. Now the talk of an upturn in WA’s economic cycle is really starting to gain traction.

At Cherry’s we cater to both the Private and Corporate market and have been experiencing quite an amazing demand for our services. We are excited about catering such a wide variety of functions and quoting on forward bookings well into next year which is keeping us busy. Corporate demand has taken off, many businesses hosting sundowners, seminars and the biggest demand seems to be for staff training. Exciting times!

The Private market is also picking up with many hosts opting to get the caterers in so that they can relax and enjoy “their party”. One of the highlights of our business is the enjoyment that we have when we look after your party catering; we experience hugs, kisses and so much appreciation that we and our staff love working your events. Over the past 18 years Cherry’s Catering Perth has received continual support from many regular clients, thank you!
I guess it helps when we love what we do!

The catchphrase we hear a lot is consumer confidence. Again, I will say that I am not an economist but from the demand in our services I believe that consumer confidence is defiantly on the rise. Negative thoughts really get us nowhere and I’ve always believed that positive thinking is one hell of a driver. There is even a lot of talk about another boom with the mining industry driving the WA economy once again. A big call and worth pondering but who knows? I cannot but help myself and think positive, it’s in my DNA and I’m happy to share my positive belief that WA is at the beginning of the next economic growth phase.

Share the love, spread the word, business and consumer confidence is moving and keep thinking positive!
