Milestone birthday celebrations, Swan Valley

December 2019 Cherry’s catered for a joint birthday party – 3 milestones all in 1 – it was something truly special.

And it was made extra special because the hosts really wanted to wow their guests, so they planned it well, and sourced suppliers that would bring their idea to life.

The team at Cherry’s Catering and Events love helping to plan and organise the most stylish and memorable events. Our helpful function coordinators customised food and beverage menus to suit the occasion.

A drinks package was designed incorporating local wines from the Swan Valley, Prosecco from Italy, Sauvignon from New Zealand along with a selection of full & light beers and soft drinks.

On arrival guests were served pre-dinner canapes of Mini prawn cocktail baskets, Melon, prosciutto, bocconcini & basil skewers, Mixed mushroom crostini with mascarpone & sherry vinegar and Blue cheese, almond & caramelised onion beetroot baskets.

A luxury buffet was formed with gourmet food such as Whole poached salmon, Fillet mignons with truffle butter, French lamb cutlets, Malaysian Chicken and salads consisting of Mango, avocado & toasted macadamia and Heirloom tomato, bocconcini & basil.

Locally handmade birthday cakes designed and created by Tannika’s Creative Cakes formed the dessert.

Beyond the food and drinks, it’s worth choosing carefully when it comes to staging, flowers, music, and cake. For the huge December event we catered for, we partnered with some fantastic local suppliers:
